Zora Montgomery

Zora Garner Mashburn 94, formerly of Robbins, died Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Alamance Health Care Center, Burlington, NC.
Graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Edwin Moore officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 PM in the church sanctuary.
A native of Moore County. Zora worked in the textile industry for many years. She loved working in her garden and growing flowers. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Zora was a daughter of the late Bessie and Annie Ritter Garner. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Mashburn and husband Robert Montgomery, son: Bobby Mashburn; siblings: Iola Williams, Ervin, Hubert and Cleave Garner.
Zora is survived by brother: Pervie Garner, of Robbins; grandchildren: Dana Batson (Russell), Tonya Mashburn, of Greenville, SC; great grandchildren: Madison, Payton and Chandler; many nieces and nephews.

Sorry for your loss. I was a co-worker with Zora at Kayser Roth in the late 1960’s. As a kid of twenty, I learned a lot from Zora. She was a ball of fire and a joy to work with.
