Helen K. Talley, 104, of Whispering Pines, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at Penick Village in Southern Pines.
Mrs. Talley was born July 13, 1904, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to John A. and Claire Lyer Kraft. She and her late husband, Preston L. Talley lll, moved to Whispering Pines from Westfield N. J., in 1965. She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church and had been active in the Sandhills Womans Exchange. She enjoyed playing bridge.
Services will be held at Emmanuel Episcopal Church at a later date.
Survivors: two nephews, Raymond J., and Gary C. Kraft; five great-nieces and great-nephews.

Helen was the cousin of my grandmother, Katherine Wright of Queens, NY. My great grandmother was a Kraft. I heard that she was in Penick Village last year at the age of 104! I’ld like to attend her services if they have’nt happened yet. Helen and Pres alw
