Shirley Chavis Driggers, age 69 of 805 Jackson Terrace, died Wednesday (July 4, 2007) at her home.
Funeral services 11:00 A.M. Monday at Pineywood Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Charles Lassiter and the Rev. John Brown. Burial will follow in the church cemetery
A native of Robeson County, she was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Driggers, a son Randy Driggers and her parents the late Lonnie and Cora Hamilton Chavis.
She is survived by: four daughters Hilda Yarborough of Cameron, Vickie Cameron and Barbara Byrd both of Vass and Patty Bosch of Virginia Beach, VA.; four sons Conley Chavis of Vass, Ted Driggers of Cameron, Jerry Driggers of Sanford and Howard Driggers, III of Penacock, NH; two sisters Doris Strickland of McColl, SC and Edith Gibson of Bennettsville, SC: a brother Nathanial Chavis of Suffolk, VA. Twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren
The family will receive friends 7:00 —9:00 P. M. Sunday at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home and at other times at the residence of Barbara Byrd, 1184 Lobelia Rd., Vass, NC.
