Teresa Ferguson Boeger (Teri) was born on January 31, 1952, to the late Nellie Lewis Ferguson and James Archie Ferguson of Aberdeen. Following a brief illness, Teri passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at her home, surrounded by family.

Teri is survived by her husband, Russell, daughters Casey Langely (Luke), Ashley Phillips, and a son, Dannie Sheffield, III. She has five beloved grandchildren: Justin, Jordan, Ellyssa, and two additional granddaughters, as well as great-granddaughters Chloe and Anna, together with three others. Teri is also survived by two sisters, her mother-in-law, her brother-in-law, and her cherished pets, Sofie and five cats. Teri was preceded in death by her parents, her grandmother, Mamie, and five of her siblings.

A very creative person, Teri could grow absolutely anything from flowers to veggies; she was best known for her African Violet propagations and her bountiful herb pots, many of which were shared with her friends. She was a crafty person who enjoyed making her crocheted afghans.

 A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, June 1, 2026, in the Community Congregational Church’s Fellowship Hall on Bennett Street in Southern Pines, NC. Please join Teri’s family and friends in the celebration of her life.
