Wilbur (Will) Curtis Brooks passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the age of 71.
He was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio, by the late Clifford (Gene) and Virginia (Ginny) Bond Brooks.
Will graduated from Sinclair Community College as a Tool & Dye Maker. After leaving Ohio, he lived in Texas and Virginia before settling in North Carolina for the last 20 years. He is remembered as a “Harley man” and as someone who loved his dog, Gus. He enjoyed riding his Harley with Gus and was a long-time member of the Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his brother, Douglas “Doug” Brooks, his sister, Gina (Brooks) Ray, three daughters, Alicia (Brooks) Thompson, Amy Brooks, and Angela Brooks; his grandchildren, Lainey Thompson, Jaydon Thompson, Lilly Turner, and Lexi Turner, all of Springfield, Ohio.
The family will have a private memorial service in Ohio.
