Jane Buller Smithers, 72, died Monday, December 5, 2011 at her home in Aberdeen.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 10th at 2:00 p.m. at Bethesda Cemetery with Rev. Jane Leachford officiating.
Born May 1, 1939 in Miami, Florida she was a daughter of the late Howard and Irma Smith Buller and wife of the late Benjamin S. Smithers.
Mrs. Smithers was a retired public school English Teacher, a volunteer with Moore County Literacy Council and a member of Page Memorial United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Emily Janelle Roberts and husband, Kenneth of Las Vegas, NV, one son, Larry Joseph (Joe) Dannelley, Jr. and wife, Pam of Aberdeen, one sister, Carol Stem of San Antonio, TX and four grandchildren, Scott, Audrey, and Leah Dannelley and Charlie Roberts.
The family will be receiving friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Powell Funeral Home & Crematory in Southern Pines.
